Activities: LEARN / Instruments: STRING FAMILY

STRING FAMILY

String instruments are made of wood and have a set of strings pulled across the body of the instrument. Some string instruments are played with a bow, and others are plucked or strummed.

On Bowed string instruments, a tool called the “bow” is pulled across the strings to produce sound. The Bow is made of wood and horse hair.
