Be the very first to hear a brand new piece by award‐winning American composer Steve Mackey. Steve wrote Sneaky March for the pianist Orli Shaham, in honor of his children. Sneaky March is for pianist and audience of children. It incorporates listening to musical cues such as dynamics, trills, and pitch register with some good ol' fashioned fun movements like, you guessed it, marching and sneaking around.
Also featured is the French horn, including Brahm's Trio for Horn, Violin and Piano. Children will have a chance to see the French horn up close, and even try playing it, at our interactive Backstage Up Close before the MainStage Concert.
Accordion player Ernest Sau is joining us too. Learn all about how the accordion works, and have a chance to try it for yourself!
